Southern European cinema markets have recovered to a degree from their post-financial crisis freefall but whether cinema admissions will return to their early century peaks is an open question. With considerable corporate activity having taken place in all three markets, including the entry of a number of new players who can be expected to continue the process of consolidation, efficiency gains may however lead the industry to greater profitability. This report analyses the current position and offers forecasts for the next five years.
