Cinema Industry Research

Our core activity is researching developments in cinema markets across the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, following growth in the multiplex sector, the penetration of new cinema technologies, and tracking and forecasting cinema admisisons, ticket prices and box office.

Upstream we study film industries to evaluate how far the future stream of product from Hollywood and elsewhere can support growth in the cinema sector. Recent years have seen a trend towards film industries even in small countries achieving commercial influence; film industries like those of France, Japan and Korea have long been hugely important.

We also research companies, especially financial data, looking at investment and consolidation strategies.

Most research is available in published form. Each year we publish reports on the cinema markets of approximately fifty countries. Some reports cover only one,for example India; others film distribution territories such as the USA and Canada; and others geographical regions like Scandinavia.  Research is available either as individual reports or as a significantly discounted annual subscription package. The drop-down boxes below should enable you to locate quickly a report or subscription to exactly meet your needs.
